Robotics for Physicians
Supporting Community Practitioners
One of the center’s strengths is collaborating with community physicians. To assist with information and access needs, the center’s program manager is dedicated to coordinating referrals and follow-up information for referring physicians.
“I’ve referred a number of patients to the Center for Robotic Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery at Saint Joseph’s Hospital for various heart problems, including tumors, mitral valve repair and congenital heart disease. They’ve all done exceptionally well. Not one of them has had a post-op complication and all have made rapid returns to the activities of daily living. I always get a call from the Saint Joseph’s surgeon post-op to let me know how my patient is doing, and my patients are turned back over to me after one follow-up visit. I’ve been extraordinarily pleased with my patients’ outcomes and the Saint Joseph’s program overall.”
