About the Center
What once was science fiction is today reality at the Gamma Knife® Center at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. The Gamma Knife Center embodies Saint Joseph’s Hospital’s commitment to leading the region in both neurosurgical services, as well as the highest possible level of care.
After years of extensive training and experience in stereotactic radiosurgery and treatment of neurological and neurosurgical disorders. The Gamma Knife Center at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta opened in September of 2004 featuring the most advanced Gamma Knife technology.
The Gamma Knife team includes a dedicated team of physicians and RN’s determined to provide the highest quality care and patient v outcomes. Each patient’s medical team includes:

Additionally, the Center employs the services of:

seven neurosurgeons, two medical physicists,

two registered nurses.
In September of 2006, the Gamma Knife Center installed the most recent technology upgrade to the Leksell Gamma Knife 4C.
Our Team:
The multi-disciplinary team collaborates to design and deliver a treatment plan that provides optimum curative or palliative care for each patient. The neurosurgeon and the radiation oncologist have specialized training and the expertise for each phase of the treatment.
