Saint Joseph's Gastrointestinal care program
The gastrointestinal diagnostic unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital, equipped with the most advanced technology and diagnostic capabilities available, provides a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient services.
Peptic ulcers, gallstones, colon polyps, organ inflammation, diverticular disease, peritonistis, hemorrhoids, cirrhosis, lesions, hernias, fissures, incontinence, constipation and cancer of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas and colon are all diagnosed and routinely treated at Saint Joseph's Hospital - and often with excellent results. Your medical team will also advise you on proper diet, lifestyle changes, stress management and ways to alleviate and, hopefully, prevent future occurrences.
One highly unique feature of Saint Joseph's Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Unit is the Evelyn Trammell Voice and Swallowing Center, which provides analysis and rehabilitation for voice and swallowing problems.
Saint Joseph's Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Unit is located in the south wing on the hospital's third floor. The unit is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. An on-call registered nurse and technician are available after hours and during holidays for endoscopic procedures. A physician referral is required.
